They took Napster away from us.
They've been trying to take Kazaa away from us.
They've started to send us bills for doing what comes naturally.

And goddess help us if they aren't also trying to prevent us from buying cheap legal cd's...

In other words, we can't download stuff and we can't buy it cheap.
What the devil are we supposed to do? Nick it from the shops?

Napster: http://www.livejournal.com/www.napster.com

Relative links are not your friend =(

As to the topic, Kazaa replaced Napster. If/when they kill Kazaa, a new replacement will come. I hope.

If all else fails, record radio broadcasts on your computer.

Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Kazaa might have replaced Napster, but as you can see from the link to The Register, some people are being billed based on what they have on their pc's :(

And I have to admit that I would probably be too lazy to record stuff of the radio or net radio broadcasts.

The parallel imports issue is interesting. Australia removed its ban a couple of years ago, I must research if there's any statistical evidence of it damaging sales of local releases here.

In fact, with the Australian dollar having crashed, the majors now do a lot of their manufacturing in Australia for the rest of the world!

If it's a German company you might be ok.
This case is about a British company buying cheap cd's in Hong Kong and selling them in England.
