Troy absolutely rawks!!!!!!
I'm not gonna go into too much detail as I assume that most of you have read the book.
It's a movie of epic proportions.
Brad Pitt is surprisingly good as Achilles, and the fight between him and Hektor is quite possibly one the very best fight scenes I've seen on the silver screen.
Go see it in the cinema. It deserves that.

He was supposed to be (and look) Mediterranean!! I would be like Benicio Del Toro playing Erik the Red!!

Date: 2004-05-18 04:01 am (UTC)But anyway, Blonde hair and blue eyes originated around Persia (The aryans) about 4000 years ago, so Greeks with features like Brad Pitt wouldn't be impossible. And he was the son of a goddess after all.
However, it is eight years since I last read the Illiad, so I can't remember what he's meant to look like.
I actually found it even funnier that Odysseus had a Yorkshire accent :)
