Le Weekend

Weekend was mostly good.
Friday night was dinner and Sci-Fi with friends which is always a winner :)
Saturday I worked and then hurried off to Garlic & Shots for dinner with lots of lovely people. I need to keep more of an eye on how much money people give me when they leave though. I usually make up make up the shortfall on the bill, but the one this time made my eyes water a little. Oh well, nearly payday...
I think I will have to go a bit less in November as I have far too much to spend my money on...

Sunday was rather good as well.
We had a fantastic training session with no injuries or frayed tempers. Good and constructive. Then Dev :)
It was the first time camillat was there and she liked it. So that was good. Saw nearly_everyone there and chatted a fair bit about the Nightwish News. I'm still trying to stay positive about it and hope that it will take one of my favourite bands in a new and interesting direction.
I think it would be good if they got another female vocalist in and had Marco do some more vocal work. I think that could be a winner. We've heard him sing and he can do it well.
I even have to admit that High Hopes is one of my favourite Nightwish tracks despite being a cover and Marco does that song justice.
Oh well, managed to get home and go to bed so I could get up at 5:15 this morning...

But yeah, I liked the Dev. Had a good time. But must remember to eat something next time. Somehow drinking a lot of beer on an empty stomach turns me into a very drunk Camilla. Strange thing, that....

its going to be a tough job finding a worthy vocalist.. but I do trust tuomas and the guys. Marco will kick arse in the mean time!

I have for some time hoped that they would let him do more.
Even though Tarja was the face that most people associate with Nightwish, she wasn't the only one to sing. And I think a lot of their songs would benefit from having Marco sing...
