Back from Sweden where much fun was had.

Agonoize played an amazingly stompy set which truly required great big boots of doom to stomp to properly.
They completely blew most of the other bands out of the water. Excellent crowd contact and the three guys on stage certainly had their act well put together.

Rotersand was the other excellent band of the night. Less stompy than I remember them from from last year but they were definitely one of the two higlights there.

I really must try to find some CDs with both of these bands.

All the other bands were quite frankly mediocre and Die Krupps seemed to have pulled a 'Metallica' and gone soft :(
Oh well, I still enjoyed seeing them live although I was perhaps a little disappointed due to the lack of stompy German industrial...

An excellent weekend despite the hefty financial rogering spikey_bastard and I received on a regular basis.
I think Spikey has been sold on both the idea of foreign travel (Next project will be Berlin) and live music...

And now something I've been looking forwards to all weekend long:

We have booked a table for 15 and you would be most welcome...

They open at 20:00 and it's a set menu taken from their standard menu.
But since all their food is great I don't see that as a problem :]

And I would love to get a copy of the Rotersand CD. I still haven't given you a DVD with all my KMFDM stuff on it.

We haven't decided yet, it was really just an idea as I know that spikey_bastard would love it. We would probably aim to get there early on a Thursday and then stay until Sunday or Monday.
We'll need to find a good stompy industrial gig to go to though...

Sorry to hi-jack your journal... I thought I saw you at Tinitus, but as we've never met I didn't think I should just go running over to say hi! Great festival though!

Rotersand are playing in Berlin in Feb, on a Thursday night if I remember correctly, so if you wanted a gig to go to...! From what I've heard, flights are fairly cheap at the moment.

Anyway, off now, sorry to intrude :o)

I think I'll look into that gig, it looks like I might spend all spring time being broke this year. Too many gigs and places to go :)
