What do you peeps think of the Viewsonic VX924 19" LCD?

It looks like it will be really good for playing WoWstudying and Viewsonic have a zero-dead pixel warranty.
And at only £211 I should really get two...

Comments anyone?

Edit 18/08: Just bought it :-}

Zero dead pixel is definitely useful. My mum's Dell has developed one.

BTW, that link is for the US site and it's not on the UK site and you can't buy it for the UK. :(

The VX920/22 is closest so you'll have to look through the UK stockists lists for it. (Or should I say, I'll do it whilst at home tomorrow seeing as I have tons of free time!)

My dad got a Phillips one from PC World with the guarantee for about £200 as well.

Tsk tsk tsk tsk

Of course I can get the VX924 in the UK...
I just linked to the US site because it doesn't really matter which site you're reading, the spec is the same...

It is said that pixels can often be revived if you gently rub the place with the back of your fingernail. Gently! Obviously I take no responsibility if you kill another dozen or so.

Looks good! Spoil yourself with your payrise! Or as the English say, "go on then"

Mmm, I have a 19" Samsung Syncmaster 913N which is totally wonderful!

The "no dead pixel" guarantee on your one is a great thing! I don't think mine has any, but it wasn't guaranteed!

it's not just dead pixles to worry about with lcd... i find they tend to just die rather quickly after a couple of years.

That's usually a crappy inverter in the backlight — the expensive bit with the glass and pixels and transistors is actually almost always fine. This is why they go pink with time too. There are sites which tell you how to fix this (or tell your pet geek how to).

For a 19" I'd want 1600x1200 or at least 1400x1050, but yes, they're nice beasts ;-)

I have to admit that I would prefer one that goes up to 1600x1200.

Of course, I haven't actually bought one yet, so I might look around a bit more...
