I bought a shiny new PC a few months back and it came with a free upgrade to 8GB RAM. Of which Vista 32 is only using 3.2GB. And the suppliers wouldn't offer me a corresponding upgrade to Vista 64. Doh!

Ah, the amount of times people in my workplace have requested all-singing, all-dancing new PCs with 4GB of RAM and it still never fails to amuse me!

I'm not at all happy about XP x64, so would be interested to hear of any issues you come across in Vista x64. I really don't want to go to Vista, but I need that 8GB for VMs (and not under Linux).

So far it's great, but I've only used it since Friday.

There was always something about XP64 that just felt wrong, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was.

So far Vista64 feel much smoother and it just 'feels' like it's using all the RAM I'm throwing at it...

I have only had two Win 2003 servers running in VMWare at the same time, but over the next few days I'll run a few more and see how it handles...
