In lieu of actual content, I give you:

Things it takes most people at least 30 years to learn.........

1 The badness of a movie is directly proportional to the number of helicopters in it.

2 You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight-saving time.

3 The most powerful force in the Universe is gossip.

4 The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

5 There is a fine line between "hobby" and mental illness.

6 People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.

7 If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve its full potential, that word would be "meetings."

8 You should not confuse your career with your life.

9 A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person.

10 No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously.

11 When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, that individual is insane.

Indeed.
Which reminds me, [livejournal.com profile] spikey_bastard, [livejournal.com profile] posthuman_angel ad I are currently discussing NYE arrangements and Neo-Kris mentioned that he had spoken with you about hooking up and doing stuff involving alcohol...
Do you have any good ideas for NYE?

NYE

Bloody good question! Now this is the problem with having friends who all like different things... getting them all to agree on somewhere!

On the 17th we're checking out Staybeautiful before we go to Synthetic Culture. If we like it that's an option to begin with (for the goth-hating members of the Order).. but apart from that don't know *my brain hurts*... strange that [livejournal.com profile] spikey_bastard mentioned the Dev.. I spent NYE 2000 in there... was a good night & also the only place that would let us in 8-)

Of course everyone is welcome back @ mine post-party & we shall prepare drink & munchies in advance and practice the arts of the "Order of the Disorderly"

As indeed we will for our Xmas outing 8-)

I think it's safe to say that The Four Captains™ would be appropriate acolytes in the Order of The Disorderly considering the antics we get up to :)
We haven't really decided on anything regarding NYE, so it's a bit of a toss-up. Of course, there is the possibility that the Scousers might not come down here...

Yes I think you 4 qualify 8-)

I think Neo's working on completing tasks to be upgraded..

We shall just have to try to persuade them to come down *grin*

YES. There was a thing I heard someplace, about a rule on how to judge people [not that judging people is right, but if you need to establish facts about someone's character]- look at how they treat their inferiors rather than their peers.

Yes, the worrying thing is that it takes people 30 years to learn them, and I have learned most of them...
