I guess this means I should pay Garlic & Shots a visit before then to see if there are any wireless networks I can piggyback onto if I need to do anything work related...

I wish my boss was like that. On call here means being able to get to the office within an hour, and if things go wrong they really go wrong and dialling in won't fix them. I am sure you will be fine though.
