So, I try to do something as simple as buying a new keyboard from Play.com and the incompetents send me a different keyboard to the one I ordered...
Filling in their returns form doesn't instill me with a great deal of confidence in their abilities to handle this satisfactorily, but we shall see.

I am particularly looking forwards to seeing whether they will expect me to pay the cost of sending the keyboard back...
Aaaaannnd breathe deeply.

At least my new wrist straps have arrived safely...

That doesn't surprise me. These days I rather pay slightly more if I think the more expensive company sounds more competent. Just too much hassle otherwise. Didn't think Play were that bad but haven't used them in years so wouldn't know.
How is the new job going? Haven't got your new email address although that might be because you don't want me to have it.

Then you should check your junk filter as I have sent you a couple of e-mails... :-P

Anyway, it's going well so far. It's not as busy as I expected, but hey-ho...

I tend to avoid companies I haven't heard of, but Play.com was well known enough for me to use them.
After this they might be on my blacklist... We'll see...

To be fair to Play.com, it looks like an easy mistake to make, as they have the same model name, just the version numbers are different.

Good point, and you're right.

However, my replacement keyboard was exactly the same wrong model...

Sometimes I truly despair...

I was actually really pleasant in my Return Request and said very politely ‘thank you for trying, but unfortunately you sent me the wrong item again’ and suggested to them that maybe ‘it would be a case of 3rd time lucky’...

I doubt it, but we'll see... I have a feeling they'll get it wrong a 3rd time...

Just out of interest - why is the V1 better than the V2?

Gah - just read the info on the V2 - looks like even hardware can get hit with the nerf stick ;)

Oh yeah, the nerf bats are everywhere, not just over the heads of warlocks...

It's almost as if Logitech realised they had a really good product and thought that they should make it crap for their customers so they wouldn't get too used to everything being all good...
